Popular Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, has taken to social media to clarify her earlier remark that she introduced her 17-year-old daughter to clubbing and alcohol following the heavy backlash.
As earlier reported by eelive.ng, the actress made the statement during an interview where she claimed she wanted her child to be free with her and experience nightlife in her company.
However, many Nigerians on social media did not welcome the disclosure, describing it as reckless parenting.
Responding, the actress via her Instagram on Saturday clarified she did not introduce her daughter to alcohol but only took her to a club.

The mother also noted that the decision was because she wanted to give her daughter a bit of exposure towards the future, and she is not as bad as people think.
She wrote, “No, pls, I didn’t do Alcohol with @simlineboss, only club, and it’s just to give her a bit of exposure towards the future . I’m not as bad as you think.”
