The remains of Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who died following his battle with stage four cancer, have been buried in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State.
The late actor’s burial comes a day after his death on August 23rd, 2026, at the age of 66.
The event included prayers, tributes, tears, and moments of reflection as friends and colleagues remembered the late prominent actor.
Notable stars in attendance were Femi Adebayo, Ireti Osayemi, Kunle Afod, Kazim Adeoti, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Fausat Balogun, Bolaji Amusan, Jide Kosoko, Olatayo Amokadeo and Yinka Quadri.
In the video that surfaced on social media, colleagues from the film industry were pictured at the burial ceremony as the actor was laid to rest in Ogun.
Friends and colleagues were also pictured emotional as the deceased actor’s remains were lowered into the grave.

It would be recalled that Ogogo’s remains were taken to Ilaro on Sunday following his death earlier that day at the age of 66.
According to veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Ogogo’s remains would be taken to Ilaro, where a lying-in-state ceremony would be held on Monday at 11 am at the Pavilion in Ilaro.
The Ilaro Muslim Community also announced that the burial prayer would be held at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground at 10 am on Monday, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Ogogo died at about 3 pm on Sunday, after battling stage four cancer. His death was confirmed by his daughter, Kira Taiwo, during an emotional Instagram Live session.
His death came only days after his daughters, Lima and Kira, publicly appealed for medical assistance for their father.
