Nigerian actress and presenter Nancy Isime has paid an emotional tribute to her late friend and colleague, actor Alexx Ekubo, sharing cherished memories from their time together.
In a recent Instagram post, Isime reflected on the nearly three months since news of Ekubo’s passing reached her, and just over a month since she hosted his service of songs and watched him laid to rest.
“To be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever let the severity of the previous paragraph fully dawn on me because I just can’t… It’s too heavy,” she wrote.

She posted a series of slides featuring moments from their last film set together on Drink, their final hosting gig at Face of Zikel 2021, their last international trip to a music festival in Dubai, and Ekubo’s public birthday wish to her.
“Life just loves teaching you lessons you didn’t ask for, doesn’t it?” Isime noted. “The lessons this season has taught me, Wow!! But in all things, we must give thanks!… So I’m thankful.”
One key lesson she highlighted was the importance of capturing memories with loved ones, adding, “Thank God for Instagram stories archive!”
Calling him “the Funniest Man in every room,” Isime declared: “A Man like Alexx Ikuku Ekubo can never be forgotten. Legends never die, they just transition. Forever and a day in our hearts.”
She closed by inviting fans to share their favourite Alexx sayings in the comments.
