Burna Boy Seeks Sanctions on Buhari, Others over Lekki Tollgate Massacre

Afro-fusion star, Burna Boy has appealed to the United Kindom’s (UK) government to sanction President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabinet members for the mayhem unleashed on peaceful protesters in Lagos.

Recall that last night (Tuesday, October 20, 2020), some armed men in military uniform stormed the #EndSARS protest ground in Lekki tollgate area of the state, killing and injuring scores of peaceful agitators.

Condemning the incident, Burna Boy accused the government of removing the CCTV cameras at the incident, and at the same time, turning off the lights at the protest ground for the sake of perpetrating the crime.

He therefore encouraged UK citizens to add their signatures to the petition against the incumbent Nigerian government.

Burna Boy wrote: “They removed the CCTV cameras, turned off the lights and They are killing people and taking their bodies. The whole Government should step down!! I’m in so much pain.

“These are the most serious times of our lives. And Some people want to play games with me. May GOD help me and you to not lose focus.

“Implement sanctions against the Nigerian Government and officials – Petitions! We Need 100k signatures from UK Citizens for this to be tabled by parliament. Please Help us make our Killers pay.

I am in London and I’m doing my best to make sure sanctions are imposed against Nigerian Government Officials. I need all citizens of all European countries, America, Asia EVERYWHERE to please Do the Same. THEY MUST ALL PAY!!”
