According to him, if a husband is unhappy after five years, he should have the freedom to walk away without being tied to the relationship indefinitely.
He said: “Every marriage should have a five-year expiring date. If the man isn’t happy, he should be free to leave.”
He went on to claim that introducing an expiry date for marriage would encourage many women to make greater efforts to maintain healthy relationships.
According to him, as the end of the five-year term approaches, many wives would begin to adjust their behaviour to keep their marriages intact.
He added: “When there’s just one year left on the contract, you’ll see a lot of women adjusting their character.”
