Listen: Brymo Drops 7th Studio Album ‘Yellow’

Olawale Ashimi Nigerian singer and songwriter, better known as Brymo has put out his much-awaited album; Yellow amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The talented singer took to his social media page on Wednesday to announce the release of his 7th studio album, to his numerous fans.

The album which comes about two years after his Oso album from March 2018, sees Brymo embracing love, heartbreak; socio-politics and mental health.

The 47 minutes, 15-track body of work does not feature any artiste. All tracks are produced by MikkyMe Joses except Track 15 (Produced by Nsikak David and Lindsey Abudei).

With another couple of lap, Brymo released Strippers + White Lines video, the lead single off the Yellow album. Here, Brymo combines melodious tune with lyrics about life’s struggles, depression and hope.

Despite the competitive and dynamic nature of the Nigerian music industry, Brymo has stubbornly held on to his style of music, releasing songs that are distinctive and often provocative.

Born on May 9, 1986, Brymo launched his music career in 1999 and has continued to pull his own kind of crowd. Brymo owes his meteoric rise to prominence to his mother who inspired him to create music.

According to the folk/pop/afrobeat singer, his mother loves Fuji music as much as she loves him. And was very good at singing with excitement. With the inspiration he got from his mother, coupled with his talent and consistency, Brymo has etched his name among lists of popular figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
