Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tolani Baj has joined the chorus of voices decrying the high cost of living in Nigeria’s commercial capital, revealing that filling her car’s fuel tank recently set her back a staggering ₦107,000.
In a viral video, the media personality, DJ, and entrepreneur expressed disbelief at the price, contrasting it with the past, when she could fill the same tank for as little as ₦15,000.

“Living in Lagos is so expensive now,” Tolani Baj said nothing that “Everything is so expensive in Lagos.” However from a reaction that caught an attention, an X user reposted Baj’s video and quoted that the reality TV star had been scammed big time as she spoke from an ex fuel attendee view.
Her comments come as official data shows the average retail price of petrol hovering around ₦1,200–1,288 per litre in March–April 2026, according to the National Bureau of Statistics and global petrol price trackers.
