Mavin Records Act Di’Ja Welcomes Third Child

Mavin Records female act, Hadiza Blell, popularly known as Aphrodija or Di’Ja is now a mom of three. The singer announced on social media that she and husband, Rotimi are now parents to an adorable baby girl.

However, the couple, who got married in 2015 at a private ceremony are also parents to Farouk, 3, and Morenike, 1.

Breaking the baby news via Instagram, she wrote:

“I have been blessed countless times over and over again. Alhamdullilah. A week ago I had the most amazing delivery! It can only be the Almighty. Allahu Akbar. KITON FAROUK (2016), AMANA MORENIKE (2018)and AYANA WURA (2019). Our beautiful children. #Olofamily.

“I still can’t believe I am a mum of now 3 amazing children. Thank you to my whole family, friends, caretakers for holding me down this whole time.“

Di’Ja’s music career

Di’Ja’s journey to music started in 2008 and in 2012, Di’Ja released several singles, including “Dan’Iska (Rudebwoy)”, “Hold On (Ba Damuwa)” and “How Can We Be Friends. However, in 2014, Di’Ja signed a record deal with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and “Yaro”, her first official single under the label was also released that same day. It infuses Hausa and Krio dialects in honour of her Nigerian and Sierra Leona roots.

In May 2014, Di’Ja was featured on “Dorobucci” alongside label mates Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, D’Prince, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks.

She was also featured on “Arise”, alongside Don Jazzy and Reekado Banks. In 2017, she released her extended play Aphrodija, which also features guest vocals from Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks.

After a longtime from the music scene, Di’Ja dropped her much-anticipated EP “The Dija EP” earlier this year. Following the birth of her third child, the singer dropped a message for her fans on her social media, “The music hits different right now! 2020 issa flood,” she wrote. We can’t wait to see what Di’Ja has for her fans in the coming year.
