May Edochie, the estranged wife of popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has finally shared how she met her husband before fame and marriage came into the picture.
Speaking in a recent lifestyle podcast, the mother of three opened up that their first encounter happened many years ago, long before Yul became a movie star and before she ever imagined becoming his wife.
May explained that they met at a General Certificate Examination (GCE) centre during her early university days.

According to her, it was not a love-at-first-sight story or a meeting that happened at a party like most people would think.
She said she had just moved from Lagos to the East after gaining admission into Enugu State University, while Yul was already studying at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) at the time.
In her words, “Way back in school, when I went to the East for my university, I was always about my books. I’m a bookworm. We didn’t meet at a party or any glamorous place; we met at a GCE centre.”
May described herself as a young lady who was focused on her studies and wasn’t into social activities back then. She said her main priority was to succeed academically, and that was the mindset she had when their paths crossed.
