As reported by eelive.ng, May Yul-Edochie few weeks back, sued Yinka Theisen, demanding N500 million in damages for alleged defamation. The controversy began after Yinka made a series of social media posts that May’s team claims were defamatory and damaging to her reputation. May accused Yinka of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, gaslighting, and defamation, which allegedly imperilled her safety through malicious threats and demonstrably false allegations.
May’s lawyers issued a cease-and-desist notice to Yinka, giving her 48 hours to retract the defamatory posts, issue a public apology, and pay the demanded compensation. Failure to comply would lead to civil and criminal litigation. Yinka, however, has refused to back down, accusing May of putting her life in danger by sharing her private address publicly and daring May to proceed with the lawsuit.
The feud between the two women has been ongoing, with Yinka previously accusing May of orchestrating cyberbullying campaigns against her. May has denied these allegations, and her lawyers claim that Yinka’s actions have not only tarnished her personal image but also disrupted her business dealings, endorsements, and brand value.
