Mayorkun is Bigger Than Wizkid, Burna Boy and Me- Davido
Nigerian music star, Davido, has openly declared that his signee Mayorkun is the biggest artiste in the world.
He made the bold claim in an Instagram live session with US news outlet, the Shade Room. During the interview, he was asked who the biggest artiste is globally amongst himself, Wizkid and Burna Boy. In response, he stated that Mayokun is bigger than the three music heavyweights.
Davido‘s declaration comes few days after he shared on social media the first conversation that led to Mayorkun getting signed to his DMW record label. He added that reminiscing about that day made him emotional.
“Me and @IamMayorKun 1st messages to each other !!! I’m type emotional RN!! #THEBEST,” he wrote.

Mayorkun who was born Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel to actor parents; has had a huge impact on Davido‘s recently released album titled A Better Time. Nigerians had hailed Mayorkun‘s music prowess, over his feature on a song on the album titled The Best. Joining the fray, Mavin records boss, Don Jazzy shared a video of himself grooving to the track, which apparently is his favourite song of the album.
Mayorkun scored a massive smash with the release of his 2016 debut song Eleko. He released his debut studio album The Mayor of Lagos in November 2018.
