
Renowned Nigerian media personality Eniola Adeoluwa has lampooned Nigerian public schools for choosing to coerce young girls to keep their hair low in 2026.
The foremost media personality stated that young girls should be allowed to express themselves without being forced to cut their hair low.
Taking to his official X account, Adeoluwa wrote, “Something that may seem small, but genuinely bothers me, is why public schools in Nigeria still ask girls to cut their hair.”

He went further to ask, “To what end? What exactly is the point?”
The media personality added, “Yesterday, I saw some girls with very low cuts and asked about it. They told me their school doesn’t allow girls to plait their hair.”
He concluded, “In 2026???”
