
Nigerian media personality and businessman, Ubi Franklin, has taken to social media to enlighten men on what they need to understand about divorce and separation.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, the founder of the Made Music Men Group (Triple MG) wrote about what men need to understand about customary and court marriages.

Read what he shared, “Many men are scared of ‘Court Marriage’ because they have this erroneous fixation that in the event of divorce, property will be shared 50 – 50 ( not legally true)
Even in customary marriages, when one of the spouses (whether man or woman) meets the conditions to be granted alimony (money), the Court will grant it.”

He continued, “Secondly, if you give your spouse/girlfriend/ husband or boyfriend a gift, you cannot collect it back in the event of separation, unless it is accompanied by certain conditions.
“Sometimes buy the gift in your own name or attach conditions to it.”
