Social media is buzzing after a post claimed that thugs stormed the film set of popular Nollywood actress and producer Bimbo Ademoye, causing disruption during shooting.

According to the viral post  on X, the user Big Uncle, described the incident as one that left the cast and crew stressed, with some fearing damage to equipment. The poster described the event as “disheartening” and noted that many producers now avoid street shoots, opting instead for secured estates with full security. This shift, he argued, explains why strictly “street movies” have become rare in recent Nollywood productions.

The Nollywood actress, as seen in the video, boldly confronted the thugs and made her position clear: “I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around, when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and tell me to give you a certain amount.”

When one of the boys retorted that he had not come to beg, she fired back: “Yes, you came to beg. You are even being proud of it.”

She further added when threatened that they would switch off her camera: “Camera that nobody in your generation has.”

Reactions have been mixed. Some users blamed the production for not hiring enough police protection, accusing them of cutting costs. Others expressed little sympathy, claiming Yoruba Nollywood has long glorified thuggery in films and is now reaping what it sowed.
