Meet Elliot Page: ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Star Comes Out as Transgender
Elliot Page, who starred in Oscar-winning teen pregnancy comedy Juno and Netflix hit The Umbrella Academy, has announced he is transgender.
Born Ellen Page, Elliot publicly came out as a transgender; sharing his preferred pronouns on a variety of social media platforms. “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans. My pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot.”
“I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life,” the 33-year-old Canadian actor added.

Page, who rose to fame as the pregnant teenage girl in the hit comedy film Juno; asked his followers and fans for ‘patience’. He admitted that he is afraid of the ‘invasiveness, the hate, the jokes, and of the violence’ that he may face moving forward.
