MI Abaga and Naeto C To Face Off In Virtual Hip-Hop Battle
This Sunday, Nigerian rappers, MI Abaga and Naeto C will be the latest to battle on Instagram Live’s “Battle of Hits.”
It all started on Wednesday after a Twitter user had enjoined her followers to tweet to MI Abaga’s hits. In what seemed to be a joke, Noble Igwe, co-founder of music blog, 360Nobs said that all MI Abaga‘s songs might be hits.
Unconvinced, the Twitter user tweeted that MI Abaga would not stand a chance in a battle with Naeto C.
“He’s a top top rapper, that’s not the question. Lol but against Naeto? 10 joints each? I don’t see him winning,” she wrote.
Jude Abaga, professionally known as MI (Mr. Incredible) accepted the challenge. He took to his Twitter page and mentioned Naeto C alongside a caption that read:
“The actual official real authentic verses battle between me and my brother @NaetoC is happening Sunday. We had a great convo last night and after this we both want to put this on for the culture with other artists.. please RT share and prepare.. who y’all got?? #10for10.”
Since the coronavirus pandemic began, Instagram Live contest has become one of the most requested battles. These battles have already delivered memorable moments that has managed to briefly distract fans from the daily onslaught of bad news.
