Mildred Okwo announces new deal with Amazon Prime
Respected filmmaker Mildred Okwo has announced The Audrey Silver Company’s deal with streaming giant, Amazon Prime.
Okwo made the announcement on Thursday night, September 22 in a Tweet.
The director of ‘Surulere’ announced that her last feature film, La Femme Anjola, has now joined a long list of film slates on Amazon Prime.
She also explained that the noir thriller can now be streamed on Amazon Prime from September 23.
La Femme Anjola is a 2021 film written by Tunde Babalola and directed by Mildred Okwo. The film is Nigeria’s first film noir psychological thriller which featured Rita Dominic and Nonso Bassey. It was released in cinemas on March 19, 2021, and revolves around a stockbroker who fell in love with a mysterious woman. Anjola is married to a gangster who owns a nightclub where she does live performances.
