The singer Ilerioluwa “Mohbad” Aloba’s autopsy will not be released immediately.

This was announced by his management on Instagram on Monday, January 15, 2023.

According to them, the autopsy, which has now been completed, will be taken abroad and will take several months before the results, which are eagerly awaited by fans of the singer and the general Nigerian public, are announced.

Mohbad’s management said:

“We’d like to take this opportunity to share a few updates and highlight some facts so that misconceptions and miscommunications don’t persist…”The police authorities conducted an investigation and have communicated that the autopsy results from the sample sent abroad will take a couple of months before they are shared.”

“No members of Mohbad’s management or his lawyer have communicated the existence of a will or any such thumbprinted documents (as has been recently FALSELY reported) to any member of the family or the public. We therefore plead with everyone to refrain from sharing false and misleading statements like this.”

The management also debunked the report that the late singer had put together his last will and testament, stressing that if such documents existed, they would have been registered with the probates registry.

Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, dealt a huge blow to the Nigerian entertainment industry. The strange circumstances surrounding his death prompted a nationwide call for an investigation into how he died.

An autopsy was performed during the investigation and, according to the police, it was completed. However, the results were never released after a few months.
