Mohbad’s team honors him with candlelight procession, tribute concert
Mohbad’s management has announced plans for a candlelight procession and tribute concert to honor the late star.
The announcement was made via Mohbad’s official Twitter page, expressing gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their support.
The candlelight procession is scheduled for Thursday, September 21, 2023, starting at the Lekki Phase 1 Gate and concluding at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The tribute concert will follow promptly at 8 pm at Muri Okunola Park.
Mohbad, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 27, left many in shock and heartbreak.
His death under mysterious circumstances has prompted calls for justice, and the Nigerian police have initiated an official investigation. A request for an autopsy has been made to the chief coroner of Lagos state.
Those attending the event have been encouraged to wear white to symbolize the light Mohbad was to those who knew him and the impact of his music on people’s hearts.
