MTV EMA 2019: Burna Boy wins Best African Act Award

It has been an incredible year for Nigerian singer, Burna Boy. This time he has emerged Best African Act at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards which held at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Center in Sevile, Spain. The African music giant was nominated with other top African acts like Nasty C, Teni, Toofan, Prince Kaybee and Harmonise.

With this win, Burna Boy joins an exclusive list of Nigerian superstars who have won the highly sought after international honour such as 2 Baba, D’Banj, Wizkid, Davido and Tiwa Savage. Although absent, Burna Boy was busy shutting down the United Kingdom for his sold-out concert where he was also recognized with a plaque for bring the first Afro-beat artiste to sell out one of the most iconic arenas in the United Kingdom, The SSE Arena.
