
Before the emergence of Elon Musk, Nigeria had a genius known as Mudashiru Ayeni.
On Monday, February 16, eelive. ng reported the story of a Nigerian student, Mudashiru Ayeni, otherwise known as ‘Mad Muda’, who was committed to a psychiatric hospital in 1971 for inventing a battery-powered robot office assistant.

According to reports gathered, Mad Muda, as he was dubbed, believed he had invented a battery-powered robot office assistant and asked to personally demonstrate it to the head of state, Yakubu Gowon. He was sent to a psychiatrist instead.
eelive.ng gathered that Ayeni made eight visits to the hospital before the psychiatrist certified him to be of sound mind.

Unfortunately, the leaders of the most populous black nation never took advantage of the skillset and capabilities possessed by the then 20-year-old genius. Instead, he was banned from classes and forced to quit school entirely.

According to TRUST magazine, Ayeni later reached out to Nigeria’s Federal Commissioner of Communications, Aminu Kano, who encouraged him and gave him a renewed sense of purpose.
At the time the story was published, Ayeni said several businessmen had already expressed interest in his invention.
Unfortunately, nothing has been achieved about Ayeni’s skill sets and natural abilities. The world has since evolved, and humans are gradually beginning to align with Artificial Intelligence in the modern world.
