My Striking Resemblance With Odunlade Affected My Career- Lateef Adedimeji
Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji, has revealed that his striking resemblance with popular Yoruba actor Odunlade Adekola became a problem for him at the early stage of his career.
In a recent interview with TVC, he recounted how people used to make reference to Odunlade before remembering his name.
However, he was able to break the stereotype by paying close attention to Odunlade‘s acting prowess to do things differently and be unique.
“I had a striking resemblance with Odunlade while coming up. At a point in my career, if they needed to mention my name; they would have to call his name first. I had to create a gap… I need you to see me and see Lateef, I don’t want you to see Odunlade first,” he said.
