Naira Marley Again Flouts Social Distancing Order

CONTROVERSIAL singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has again openly disregarded the Federal Government’s social distancing order, which was instituted as a measure to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

Recall that in April 2020, the Tesumole singer was charged by the Lagos state government, alongside others, for attending actress, Funke Akindele‘s husband, JJC Skillz‘s 43rd birthday.

Naira Marley had on Saturday, June 13, organised a ‘drive-in’ concert in Abuja. And in what looked like a surprising turn of event, the singer’s jubilant fans took no notice of the social distancing rule, as they all troop into the event venue in large numbers.

As seen in a video circulating on social media, Naira Marley’s fans took no caution of the social distancing. Although, a few of them had their PPE (Personal Protection Equipments) on.

Watch the Naira Marley’s performance below:

As part of an effort to get Nigeria’s economy back on track after a month-long shutdown, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered FCT, Lagos, and Ogun states, to come into line with the rest of the country, thereby relaxing the restrictions.

Despite the lockdown relaxations, the ban on large gatherings and curfew are still in place. More so, people are required to wear their face masks in public.

Will Naira Marley be prosecuted this time?
