Naomi had a chat with Mayeni Jones of BBC Africa where she talked about why she is involved in the ARISE Fashion week. She explained that there are a lot of talented designers in Africa, and she would like to see them make global headlines and be celebrated just like designers in the west.

Naomi also shared a recent experience where she was rejected for a campaign because of the colour of her skin.  She said that she was baffled when her picture was not used in the campaign because of her family “genes.”
