Nigerian singer and close associate of the late Mohbad, Primeboy, has staged a protest expressing frustration that the artiste has yet to be reburied nearly three years after his death.
Primeboy, a fellow musician and longtime friend of Mohbad, publicly voiced his concerns, claiming that while the late singer’s family appears to have resumed normal life, his remains are still in the mortuary.
According to him, the prolonged delay in burial is both troubling and unfair to the memory of the deceased.
Speaking during the protest, Primeboy stated that Mohbad deserves a dignified and final resting place. He suggested that the continued uncertainty surrounding the circumstances of the singer’s death should not prevent closure for those who genuinely cared about him.
Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, was a fast-rising figure in Nigeria’s music scene before his untimely passing sent shockwaves across the country. His death sparked widespread public outcry and calls for thorough investigations.
