For the first time since 1997, the year it was founded, a popular streaming platform, Netflix has laid out some of its most-watched movies ever.
The list provides a clear picture of the most-watched movies of all time on Netflix, the streaming platform which has historically been secretive about viewership.
The movies that made it to this list were released between 2018 and 2020, most of them in the past 12 months.
Known for its overwhelming library of original movies, Netflix for the first time released the list below:
Extraction: Released in April 2020, the action-thriller film starring Australian actor, Chris Hemsworth, has amassed over 99 million views on Netflix.
Bird Box: Also making it to the top five most-watched movies of all time on Netflix, is Bird Box, a thriller produced by American actress, Sandra Bullock.
The movie, according to Netflix, has garnered more than 89 million views.
Spenser Confidential: Debuted in March 2020, the American action-comedy film’s total view is now over 85 million.
6 Underground: The 2019 American action thriller film, which stars Ryan Reynolds, an American-Canadian actor, Dave Franco, an American role-interpreter, amongst others, has now been streamed more than 83 million times.
Murder Mystery: Released in 2019, this American comedy-mystery film, now has over 73 million streams.
