Reality television star Phyna has sparked widespread reactions online following her recent statement suggesting that life is easier for men, a comment that has divided social media users and ignited intense debate.
Phyna had expressed her thoughts, stating that she sometimes wished she were a man, arguing that men have a more straightforward path to success, while women face societal limitations, stigma, and restrictions that often discourage them from dreaming big.

“I lowkey wish I was a man… Life is much easier for men cause it’s certain you have to work hard to make money, but for women, we’ve been stigmatized and there are so many rules & regulations covering us, like a woman is not supposed to dream big” she said.

Several users strongly disagreed with her stance, insisting that men face their own unique struggles. One commenter argued that men are less likely to openly discuss their challenges, which may create the false impression that life is easier for them.
Another user questioned her logic, pointing out that if life were truly easier for men, more people would seek to switch genders.

Other reactions were more critical and blunt. Some commenters mocked the statement, suggesting that public platforms often expose flawed reasoning, while others criticised what they described as an oversimplification of complex gender dynamics. A particularly harsh reaction claimed that access to social media and podcast platforms has made it easier for “uninformed opinions” to gain attention.
However, not all responses were dismissive. A few netizens acknowledged that women indeed face societal pressures and limitations, especially in more traditional settings, but argued that modern times have seen greater opportunities and visibility for women than in previous generations.
