Social media users have heavily criticised Ossai Ovie Success, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, after he publicly expressed disappointment in Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh for hugging her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
In a lengthy Facebook post today, Ossai described the hug captured during their son, King Andre’s recent 10th birthday celebration as inappropriate.
He repeatedly stated he was “really disappointed” and “highly disappointed,” accusing Tonto of failing to respect boundaries in Churchill’s current marriage to Rosy Meurer.

“She should’ve considered his wife… Does she want to destroy her ex-husband’s marriage?” he wrote, adding that “a woman shouldn’t be doing this to her fellow woman.”

The comments quickly went viral, with many netizens slamming Ossai for meddling in celebrity personal matters as a government official.
Reactions included mockery like “Special adviser to the governor on disappointment and moral justification” while another said “E be like say men dey gossip pass women these days.” Others defended the hug as normal co-parenting hug.

Tonto has recently spoken positively about peaceful co-parenting and reconciliation after years of public disputes.
