Never Let Your Age Stop You — Mo Abudu Shares Powerful Life Lesson As She Turns 62

Media entrepreneur and filmmaker Mosunmola Abudu has marked her 62nd birthday with a message urging people not to allow age to stand in the way of their dreams.

Abudu shared the reflection in a video posted on Instagram, where she looked back on her career milestones.

She revealed that she began her journey into media at 40 with Moments with Mo, before making her first film, 50, at 50.

She subsequently built a film and television portfolio, with projects including The Wedding Party, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Chief Daddy, Oloture, The Governor, Castle and Castle, Blood Sisters and Baby Farm.

The entrepreneur also recalled launching EbonyLife in Lagos at 55. Now at 62, she said she is taking EbonyLife to London while pursuing new ventures.

Abudu encouraged people to pursue the dreams they have carried for years, stressing that age should never become a limitation. She said new beginnings remain possible at every stage.

“Your age is not your limitation,” she said, adding that it is never too late to start building something meaningful.

She also expressed excitement about her upcoming project, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, scheduled for cinema release on December 4, 2026.

As she celebrated another year, Abudu gave God the glory and reaffirmed her commitment to creating, building and dreaming.
