Nigerian Celebrities React to Poco Lee’s Arrest Over Sexual Assault in UK

Some Nigerian celebrities have spoken out in support of Nigerian dancer Poco Lee amid his ongoing prosecution in the United Kingdom.

Eelive.ng earlier reported that the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London confirmed that Poco Lee was due to appear over an alleged assault offence on September 15, 2026,

The dancer is alleged to be held on remand in the United Kingdom; however, the court update confirms that the matter has progressed beyond earlier reports of Poco Lee’s alleged arrest and detention, which began circulating online last week.

According to Snaresbrook court, the September hearing is listed as a plea and trial preparation hearing. This means Poco Lee is expected to formally respond to the allegation as the legal proceedings move forward.

Reacting, media personality Papaya Ex described the situation as heartbreaking to watch her friend go through such a difficult period, while urging people not to use the matter to chase clout.

She said she knows Poco Lee personally and believes there is more to the situation than what has been made public.

“I truly believe there is more to this situation than what people may have heard. He is a man with a good heart”

“Poco is a man with a good heart and I know God will never leave his own,” she added.

In another separate post on Monday, TG Omori, the Nigerian music video director, expressed sadness over Poco Lee’s situation, describing him as one of the kindest people he had ever met.

“It breaks my heart to hear Poco Lee in this sort of mess. That’s the purest soul I have ever met. The devil really works overtime,” he wrote.

In another post, socialite Rahman Jago described the situation as “serious and painful”, saying he believes “there is more to this situation than what people may have heard”.

He described Poco Lee as a cheerful person who needs support during this difficult period, while praying that God knows the truth.

“Seeing my brother go through such a serious and painful situation is heartbreaking. I know the person he is, and I truly believe there is more to this situation than what people may have heard, this is not the time to chase clout, we all know Poco to be a joy giver and this is when he needs us the most. May we never be in a situation where only God is our witness,” the post reads.
