Nigerian dancer and singer Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, has been confirmed to currently be on remand in a UK prison, according to UK-based Nigerian community advocate Oluomo of Derby.
In posts on X, Oluomo confirmed earlier circulating reports, stating that Poco Lee’s next court appearance is scheduled for the second week of September.
The hearing is expected to be a plea hearing, at which the entertainer will enter a plea of either guilty or not guilty.

Oluomo noted that the situation is serious and that much cannot be discussed publicly. He expressed hope that Poco Lee is prepared for what could become a lengthy legal process. If a not-guilty plea is entered, a trial might not take place until the following year.

In that scenario, he could remain in custody if bail is refused, particularly if authorities view him as a flight risk.

Oluomo also noted that he plans to attend the court proceedings to support the Nigerian community in the UK and ensure Poco Lee receives appropriate assistance.
Reports of Poco Lee’s arrest in connection with a sexual offence first circulated around 19 August 2026. No official statement from UK police or courts has been publicly issued at the time of writing. Poco Lee has not commented publicly.
