Influencer Simi Sanya has ignited fresh conversations after stating that ₦80 million feels small for a big 300-guest wedding.
Speaking in an interview, she detailed how wedding expenses depend on venue, décor, catering and personal preferences.
Simi shared that her traditional wedding was on Lagos Island while her white wedding took place on the mainland to save money. She revealed that hall rentals on the Island start from ₦10 million and above, while décor can cost around ₦5 million. She opted against per-plate catering, saying she wanted her guests to “eat, be filled and be merry.”
On her husband’s support, Simi smiled and said: “He loves me, so he wants my dream wedding. Anything that makes me happy.”
The comments section lit up with mixed reactions. Many expressed surprise with remarks like “What do I need 300 guests for??” and “Omoo na wa o.”
