Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has openly expressed her frustration over the way President Bola Tinubu’s administration is handling the growing insecurity across Nigeria.

The actress, in a post shared on her Instagram page, criticised the government’s response to the worsening security situation, saying the approach being taken reflects a lack of compassion and concern for the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

According to Jegede, the insecurity troubling different parts of the country is already alarming, but what is even more disturbing is what she described as the government’s slow and careless attitude towards addressing the crisis.

She wrote: “Nigeria government lacks a sense of humanity. @Asiwajubat @officialoluremitinubu Nigerians are not doormats nor people you just prey on. Crimes happen everywhere in the world, it is the fact that Nigerians know that no one will ever come looking for them is the issue”.

She suggested that many Nigerians are becoming increasingly worried and exhausted by ongoing violence and unrest, while expecting stronger, more urgent action from those in leadership.

She added: “These atrocities have not been tribal, religious nor class-based”
