Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has shared a frightening experience after narrowly escaping death in a serious motorbike accident while filming a movie, just three days before her birthday.
The actress took to her Instagram page on June 24, 2026 to post a video capturing the shocking incident, which occurred on a movie set in Lagos.
According to the footage, Oko was filming a scene alongside her colleague Victory Michael, who was riding the motorbike at the time. However, things quickly took a dangerous turn when the bike lost control and crashed into a pole on the filming location.
The impact of the collision left both actors injured. Victory Michael reportedly struck his chest against the pole and briefly lost consciousness, while Omeche sustained a broken leg during the accident.
Moments after the crash, fellow cast members and crew rushed to their aid and then transported them to a medical facility for urgent treatment.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Omeche described the incident as a stark reminder of how fragile life can be. Sharing the video with her followers, she revealed that she came dangerously close to losing her life and expressed gratitude for surviving the accident.
She wrote, “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said No. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”

Among those who sent their well wishes were Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Chizzy Alichi, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Toni Tones, Doris Ifeka and Onyi Alex. Film producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong also joined others in wishing the actress a speedy recovery.
