Friends and colleagues in the Nollywood industry are set to organize a candlelight and artiste night to honour the late actress Temitope Osoba.
The special event, titled “An Evening of Love, Music & Memories,” will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at LTV 8 (Blueroof) in Ikeja, Lagos, beginning at 5 pm.
Organisers noted that the gathering offers an opportunity to celebrate Osoba’s life, creativity and contributions to the arts. In a statement accompanying a flyer shared on her Instagram page, they noted that “her voice, her art, her spirit… will remain in our hearts.”
The announcement follows the recent death of the 40-year-old actress. Fellow actor Alesh Sanni broke the news in an emotional Instagram post, describing her as his “dearest sister” and reflecting on the memorable times they shared.

Osoba built a strong career in Yoruba-language Nollywood films. She appeared in popular titles such as Gucci Girls, Igboro Ti Daru and Oogun Mi. She also produced the movie Single Ladies. Born on December 2, 1985, she entered the industry in 2005 after an unexpected dancing role. After that, she worked steadily for nearly two decades.
Her family asked the public to ignore unverified reports about her passing. They also requested privacy while they mourn.
