Leading Nollywood personalities gathered on Thursday for a prayer session and Service of Songs to honor the late actress and producer, Allwell Ademola.
eelive.ng learnt that the Service of Songs for the late actress took place from 4pm to 6pm, followed by a candlelight procession from 6pm to 7pm, starting at LTV 8, moving to Oregun Junction, and returning to LTV.
The event included prayers, tributes, tears, and moments of reflection as friends and colleagues remembered the late filmmaker.
Notable stars in attendance were Afeez Abiodun, Rotimi Salami, Kunle Afod, Odunlade Adekola, Saheed Balogun, Bolaji Amusan, Abiola Adebayo, Iyabo Ojo, Fausat Balogun, Eniola Ajao, and Fathia Balogun.
Salami, one of Ademola’s closest colleagues in the industry, spoke to those gathered at the event.
He asked for forgiveness on her behalf and encouraged everyone to keep praying for her soul.
He also urged colleagues to remain united and to preserve the legacy and impact she left in Nollywood.
An Artistes’ Night was planned for later in the evening, with final remarks expected by 11 pm.
The burial ceremony is scheduled for today at Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos State.
Ademola died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack at her home.
