Nigerian singer Niniola Apata is continuing to share her profound grief publicly following the death of her husband, Michael Ndika.
In a series of emotional Instagram stories on her page @officialniniola, the Afro-house star laid bare her heartbreak with the poignant words: “Nothing feels good anymore…”
The latest posts capture her vulnerability as she navigates life without her partner of 13 years. “Shoot… My clothes don’t fit anymore… Nothing feels good anymore… Not the same Nini… A part of the Old Nini died… It’s scary…” she wrote.
Another story reflected on perceived injustice: “Why is life so unfair to me… I did nothing wrong. I was a good wife… I tried my best… And here’s my reward…”

Niniola also shared sweet, nostalgic exchanges with her late husband, whom she lovingly called “Iyawọ Michael” and her “Soul Provider.” Michael Ndika, CEO of NaijaReview, passed away in May 2026.
The singer had described him as her everything, her best friend, business partner, and the driving force behind her success who “met me raw and made me a superstar.”
Social media users had expressed worry after Niniola’s first public appearance post-loss, noting her visibly slimmer frame. Many urged family and friends to rally around her, highlighting the visible toll of mourning.
Ndika was buried in early June after a service of songs. The cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed. Supporters have flooded her page with messages of love and strength during this difficult time.
