Nse Ikpe-Etim Speaks Up On Getting a Hysterectomy
Recently, star Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe Etim hosted some of her fans to an event called “Conversations With Nse” where she revealed her struggles with trying to bear a child. She also opened on her decision to take her doctor’s advice and getting a hysterectomy.
Hysterectomy is a surgical operation to remove all or part of the uterus – the organ in the lower body of a woman where offspring are conceived and in which they gestate before birth; the womb.
She also has spoken to BBC News Pidgin about how she dealt with depression following the surgery, why she has chosen to speak up now, and how she chooses to handle trolls on social media.
