Phyna, the Big Brother Naija Level Up winner known for stirring controversy, is back in the spotlight. This time, instead of her usual Twitch livestream antics, she is showing off a tattoo she got to honor her late sister, Ruth Otabor, who passed away a few months ago.
Her younger sister, Ruth, died in September 2025 from injuries she suffered after being hit by a Dangote truck.
The accident happened just days after Ruth graduated and led to her leg being amputated before she passed away. The incident caused outrage on social media and brought a lot of sympathy and support for Phyna.
Ruth was buried in September 2025, and Phyna was visibly distraught during the funeral proceedings.
Since then, the reality star seems to have moved on from her sister’s death and has made headlines for different controversies. Most recently, she showed off a new tattoo.
In response, some fans have criticized her and mocked her new tattoo, while others feel she has moved on too quickly after her sister’s untimely death.
