Omawumi Hints at Taking More Acting Roles in Future

Superstar singer Omawumi Megbele might be thinking of expressing her talent more through acting than music. According to Omawumi she wants to try other areas, and get multiple strains of income. She revealed this in a chat on an Entertainment show on Channels TV

When asked about artistes’ preferring to work on singles than albums, she said: “There are still core fans – people who buy albums. When he comes out with singles there are people who will pay attention and when he drops an album, there are people who will collect the album because your favourite song on it might not be my favourite song.”

On working on more movie productions, Omawumi who runs Hermanes media with Waje said “Definitely. We are in pre-production stages for two of our next projects coming up. Also, I just featured in Mo Abudu’s new project and another one. I have few scripts on my table that I have to read and decide on which one I want to play. It is a lot of work but I just decided to do this as an actor. Maybe we will just look more into going in that direction.”

Omawumi recently released a single “without you” which she dedicated to her husband. The song is off her forthcoming EP- “In her feelings”
