‘Omo Ghetto The Saga’ to Premiere in UAE Cinemas
Funke Akindele‘s Omo Ghetto The Saga is set to break yet another record as the first Nigerian movie to be released in UAE, Dubai cinemas.
The actress who made the announcement in a post on her social media on Monday said, the movie will be released from 21 January in some selected cinemas in UAE.
She wrote, “Exciting News for UAE Omo Ghetto fans!The No. 1 film and box office record breaker in Nigeria — Omo Ghetto (The Saga) — is set to break yet another record as the First Ever Cinema Release of a Nigerian film in the United Arab Emirates.
“Omo Ghetto (The Saga) is scheduled for release from the 21st of January, 2021 in selected Novo Cinemas in the UAE. Stay tuned for more updates!”
Omo Ghetto The Saga, a sequel to the 2010 released, Omo Ghetto, became the highest grossing Nollywood film of 2020 after it raked in a cumulative revenue of over N124 million within one week of its release.
The movie feature Funke Akindele-Bello in the dual role of “Lefty” and “Ayomide”, Chioma Akpotha, Eniola Badmus, Tina Mba, Zubby Michael, Bimbo Thomas, Deyemi Okanlawon among others. It follows the tale of twin sisters leading separate lives but are reunited by series of dramatic twists.
