Omoni Oboli Loses Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law to Nigerian actress and film producer, Omoni Oboli, is dead.
Her death comes three months after she marked her 75th birthday.
Sharing the sad news, the movie-star wrote on her social media page alongside a picture of the deceased: “Our matriarch mrs Oboli. We will miss you. No words.”
Her husband, Nnamdi Oboli, penned an eulogy to mourn the deceased.
He wrote: “Saddest day ever!!! My dear mum has passed on. I can’t imagine a moment without her being around, with her strong, vibrant and ever concerned self.
“She is the mum like no other, a matriarch of the Oboli family that stood as a dividing wall between the world and us as she was like a mother hen with her chicks.”
“Her council, strength, rigor at discipline and work ethic as legendary and appreciated by all who knew her well.
“I have a lot to say about this great woman, but the pain is still fresh and the thought of her passing still unsavory.”
Fans have since expressed condolences to the actress and her husband.
