Ovadia and Sons Pay Tribute to Bob Marley With New Collection

Rappers’ favourite fashion brand, Ovadia and Sons has paid tribute to legendary reggae musician, Bob Marley by releasing a collection of menswear – Ovadia X Marley.

Although fashion brand, Roots Canada rereleased an OVO varsity jacket collection with the intention to also pay tribute to the late musician on the occasion of what would have been his 74th birthday, their cache was very limited to Canadians, and now Ovadia and Sons has followed up with a more accessible collection.

The collection features sharp photos of Marley printed over a variety of premium hoodies, tees and crew necks. The photos show Bob Marley caught in time doing various acts – in the studio, playing football, smoking a joint etc.

The generational brand was started in 2010 by twin brothers Shimon and Ariel Ovadia with nothing but a passion in making clothes; a passion which led the family to move from Jerusalem to Brooklyn in 1986.

The duo went on to build a brand that effortlessly combines design fashion and street wear. Popular rapper, Jay-Z is known to be seen wearing a lot of the brand’s garments including a custom-made version of the Ovadia &Sons X Levi’s authorized vintage denim jacket which incorporated the rapper’s last name embroidered on the front instead of the brand’s logo.

Other rappers known to love the brand are Migos, Big Sean, 21 Savage, Future and more.
