Pasuma Explains what Happened at #EndSARS Protest Ground

Popular fuji singer, Wasiu Alabi, aka Pasuma, has explained what transpired at the #EndSARS protest ground in Alausa, Ikeja area of Lagos, where he was reportedly booed and chased out.

As reported on eelive.ng, Pasuma was kicked out of the protest ground, as many of the #EndSARS demonstrators expressed their unhappiness at the singer’s relationship with politicians.

A viral video on social media shows some angry youth, dragging the fuji musician out of the Alausa protest ground.

Reacting to the video, Pasuma said claiming he was kicked out of the protest ground was a misconception.

According to him, the protesters were even happy that he was able to show-up and address the lingering police brutality in the country.

He said, “I’m here to clear the air about the rumours making rounds on social media that I was chased away at the protest ground in Alausa. I wasn’t chased away. The youth were even happy that I came, they were happy that I came to support them because they knew I came to support them. They are the leaders of tomorrow, and for those of you spreading the fake rumour that I was chased away at the protest ground, I say FEM!”

Throwing his weight behind the #EndSARS protesters, Pasuma added: “I am in support of what they are asking for, 100% of what they are asking for is what I’m in agreement with because I have kids as well. And I believe it’s for the betterment of every one of us if Nigeria is great and better again.”

He continued: “Why wouldn’t I support them? I mean the great Nigerian Youths. I’m in support of what you’re asking for. We’re all in this together. We are the giant of Africa before and I believe we are coming back strong to become the giant of Africa again. So why wouldn’t I support, I’m in support of what they asking for. It is in this light that I say end to SARS! End police brutality! Stop killing our youths!”

The music star further assured the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government that “the agitation against police brutality in the country will not end anytime soon.”
