Veteran actress known for her iconic role of being a wicked mother-in-law, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has revealed why many old actors and actresses end up going public to solicit help
In a candid interview on the popular YouTube show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by Isbae U (Bae U), the veteran star revealed that the absence of royalty payments is the main reason many Nollywood talents “beg” despite their fame.

Unlike Hollywood and other developed film industries, where actors earn residual income from reruns, streaming, and global distribution, Nollywood operates on a one-time-fee model, which leads many actors to pursue other activities to earn a steady income.

Actors are paid only for their initial appearance on set, with no further compensation even when their movies are repeatedly aired on television, sold on DVD, or streamed online.
