Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has received a major boost in her ongoing medical treatment, as singer and Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Tourism and Entertainment, J Martins, confirmed that Governor Alex Otti has fulfilled his financial pledge.
The update comes barely a day after J Martins announced that the Abia State governor had approved financial support for the actress following her public appeal for assistance over her deteriorating health.
In a fresh statement shared on X, J Martins disclosed that Governor Otti had directed the payment of ₦25 million directly to the hospital where Nwosu is currently receiving treatment.
According to him, officials settled the hospital bill before the close of business, keeping Governor Otti’s promise to support the veteran actress.

“Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency made good his promise, directing a ₦25 million payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu is receiving treatment,” he wrote.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the creative industry, J Martins thanked Governor Otti for his compassion and generosity, adding that history would remember the governor’s act of kindness.
Fans and colleagues welcomed the confirmation after expressing concern when Nwosu’s health condition became public.
