Pere bags nomination ahead of 2021 Best of Nollywood Awards

Pere, Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate has bagged nomination ahead of the 2021 Best of Nollywood Awards.

The actor battles other nollywood stars for the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ category.

Organisers of the BON Awards made the announcement on Saturday through its official Instagram page.

Pere got nomination for his lead role in a Biodun Stephen’s movie, ‘Butterflies’.

Other Nollywood stars in the same category with Pere include Stan Nze in ‘Rattlesnake’, Blossom Chukwujekwu in Home Spring Eternal, Enyinna Nwigwe in ‘Badamosi’, Okey Uzoeshi in ‘Strain’, and Uzor Arukwe in ‘Yours Regardless.’

Pere has been in the Nollywood scenes for years but recently gained prominence due to his participation in the ongoing Big Brother Naija season six.

Pere featured in other Nollywood movies including ‘Till there was you’, ‘Chimera’ and ‘Gem of the rainforest’

He also featured in one of the editions of the popular ‘Super Story’ series titled ‘More than a friend’.

Born in Warri, Delta State, Pere was raised by a single mother, and is the first born of two children.

He believes change is the only constant in life and describes himself as “a spontaneous, adventurous person”. Pere is a qualified nurse and served in the United States Military for six years, before coming back to Nigeria to pursue a career in real estate. This vibrant 35-year-old is also a part time actor and model.

He is attracted to things of high value and is motivated by his past. As an empath, he hopes to use his experiences with pain to help heal others. He enjoys dancing, playing games, writing, bar-hopping and water rafting.
