Phyna, the controversial winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 7, has reportedly been arrested following a heated altercation at a hotel in Abuja.
The incident, which allegedly occurred last week, was said to have stemmed from an unresolved financial dispute involving ₦200,000.
According to eyewitness accounts, the confrontation began inside Phyna’s hotel room before spilling into the lobby, where it escalated into a physical altercation involving raised voices and chaos. The situation worsened when associates from both sides joined in, leading to a prolonged scuffle within the hotel premises.

Following the incident, Phyna took to her Instagram stories on Saturday night, raised an alarm, claiming that the management of Dalchifit Suites Hotel in Gwarinpa had her arrested after accusing her of damaging hotel property worth ₦3.5 million.
She wrote: “Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa allowed touts into the premises to attack me, and now they’re trying to lock me up until Monday because I refused to pay ₦3.5 million for alleged damages. I’m currently being detained. Because I’m Phyna, I’m being unfairly treated by a hotel that failed to ensure my safety.
“The hotel allowed touts through the main gate, reception, and up to the second floor to break down my door and even disclosed my room number to them. I’ve never seen anything like this before. This 2025 just wants to take me away from my sister.”
Phyna further alleged that the hotel management refused to provide CCTV footage of the incident, which she had requested to verify the extent of the damages.
“Dalchifit Suites Hotel is detaining me till Monday because I asked for the CCTV footage to confirm whether the damages they claimed actually occurred. They have refused to release the footage and are now trying to have me locked up at the Gwarinpa Police Station,” she added.
