The sexual offence case against Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains active in the United Kingdom, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed.
Responding to an inquiry on Saturday, the CPS Press Office stated that the case is still live and that Odinaka is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).
The clarification comes after widespread social media reports claimed Poco Lee had been granted bail or released from a UK prison, with some suggesting the complainant had withdrawn from the case or that the matter had been settled out of court.
Those claims have not been independently verified by the CPS or the court.

Poco Lee faces five charges: one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred in Tower Hamlets, east London. He was earlier remanded in custody after appearing at Thames Magistrates’ Court in mid-August, with the case later transferred to Snaresbrook Crown Court.
A reporting restriction remains in place to protect the anonymity of the complainant under the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
Poco Lee, who travelled to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert, has not been convicted of any offence and is entitled to the presumption of innocence as the judicial process continues.
