A controversial Nigerian singer, Portable was involved in a car accident.
The singer, via his Instagram, shared the video showing his damaged car in a ditch and explained that his brakes failed while he was driving.
Portable later thanked God for surviving the terrible crash, as he also disclosed that people who arrived at the scene were not there to recover his body.
The accident happened just hours before his newborn son’s naming ceremony, scheduled for May 9. Portable also shared that he had already bought two cows for the event.
“My fans, join me in thanking God. I was just driving out this evening when the accident happened,” he said.
“I am fine. I came out unhurt. I suddenly realised that the brakes had failed. My people have arrived here at the scene. I thank God they are not here to collect my corpse.

“I have already bought two cows for my son’s naming ceremony. Thank God the accident didn’t happen while a trailer was passing on the road.”
His son, Jamal Iremide, was born on the same day that Portable lost a celebrity boxing match to Carter Efe by unanimous decision.
This is not the first time the singer has been involved in a car accident. In March 2022, the singer crashed his Range Rover and said it was a “spiritual attack”.
Two months later, he survived another car accident.
In 2023, his G-Wagon was also damaged beyond recognition.
